Scottsdale is so surprising! There’s something for everyone here - the arts, sports, shopping of all types, tours, nature, great restaurants, and great winter weather. I am loving it here. One of the places that surprised me was the Western Spirit Museum: Scottsdale Museum of the West.

I had a blast today at Lauritzen Gardens new BRICKLive Dinosaurs exhibit! I have always loved learning about dinosaurs and today was no exception.

Le Mars, Iowa has become a fun holiday destination! (See my previous post). The Brown family provides fantastic entertainment and the town has many older and beautiful homes. Many town organizations come together and provide holiday activities and events.

Another little secret about me is that I am a Dale Chihuly glass artist nut. Consequently, I was dying to see his temporary exhibition at the St. Louis Botanical Garden.

While I enjoy festivals of all kinds, few festivals bring me more joy than hot-air balloon festivals.

There’s nothing quite like a county or state fair in the Midwest.
