The Intriguing Iowa Indie Bookshop Tour!

Do you enjoy reading and browsing fun, unique stores? Are you looking for a summer getaway that’s something a little different? Maybe even a QUEST? 😲 Then may I suggest participating in the Iowa Indie Bookshop Tour!
“What on earth is that?” you may ask. It is a self-embarking “tour” of 36 Iowa independent bookshops that are spread all across the state. Here is the website with more information below. ⬇️
How does it work? Well, it started yesterday, July 1 and continues until September 30, 2024. At your first Iowa indie bookshop you can pick up a passport and have it stamped at every one of the Iowa independent bookshops you visit - as long as you make a purchase at that shop. Each stamp in your passport earns you an entry into a drawing with free prizes. You must have at least two stamps in your passport in order to turn it in for the drawing. But, seriously, who doesn’t love free prizes?!? 😁👏🫶
At the last bookshop you tour (September 30 or before) you can turn in your passport book for the drawing and potential prizes. A couple more simple rules are below. ⬇️
See? It’s easy-peasy! I may not be able to get to all of the 36 stores, but I’m going to give it the old college try! I invite you to do the same.
