I had a blast today at Lauritzen Gardens new BRICKLive Dinosaurs exhibit! I have always loved learning about dinosaurs and today was no exception. There are more than 30 Lego dinosaurs spread out in the main building, conservatory, and just outside the main building on the back patio area. Most dinos are indoors, so it’s a perfect activity for this time of year. Some dinosaurs are huge and hard to miss and some are small and cleverly hidden in the foliage. You might even spot some Dino eggs. Be sure to look up too! There is a scavenger hunt so you can make sure you find them all. Most exhibits come with information about the dinosaur displayed nearby. The families I saw today were really enjoying finding all the dinosaurs and reading about them. Little ones loved the dinosaurs and activities too. I heard lots of children’s’ laughter and shrieks of joy, which always does my heart good. 🫶

I enjoyed a delicious and leisurely lunch at the cafe and proceeded to pretend I was a kid and have fun. I talked a young teen boy into recording me in front of the T-Rex, which oddly made me shift into my “teacher voice.” Oops! 🙄 Old habits die hard, I guess. 🤷‍♀️

By no means have I captured photos and video of all the dinosaurs, as I want YOU to explore the exhibit in person. Can’t afford it? If you live in Omaha and Council Bluffs you may be able to get a free pass from your public library. Sign up early, though, on their websites. The exhibit is included for free with a membership.

The brick dinosaurs are very cleverly and creatively made, some with over a million legos. It’s just fun to see the intricate builds. So whether you are a dinosaur fan, a Lego fan, or a garden fan, you will enjoy this fun and interesting exhibit on display until May 12, 2024. And don’t forget to check out the gift shop for all things dinos , legos, and more!

Whether you are one or 101, check it out today! 🦖🦕🦖
