Midwest Moments: Art in Bloom at The Minneapolis Institute of Art April 25-28!

If there are two things in this world that I love, it’s art and flowers. Putting them together would be heavenly in my book! Good news! You can have both the same time at the Minneapolis Institute of Art this weekend. The event is called Art In Bloom and is an annual fundraiser for this wonderful art museum.

During this event local floral businesses and flower arrangers create a floral masterpiece to pair with a work of art at the museum. Often the artwork is reflected in the colors and style of the flower arrangements. More than 40 art and paired floral arrangements are on display for this year’s event. While admission to the museum is free, please be prepared to financially contribute to the fundraiser in some way. MIA is a lovely, large, and free art museum. I make it a point to go there every time I go to Minneapolis. It’s one of the highest-rated attractions in Minneapolis.

While the photo below is not one from the display, it will provide an idea of what the final product for one exhibition might look like. I adore the melding of the colors and styles! I was not able to obtain any photos from the museum to use for this post, so please realize the displays will differ from my photo. More photos and information available at the link below…
