Home Sweet Home!

Well, finally drove into my hometown this afternoon. While I love to travel, I was reminded again this afternoon that there’s no place like home. I am barely keeping my eyes open 😴 as I write this (before 8 pm) so will finish up a post I started tomorrow. In those two weeks, I have walked more than 2.5 miles per day and more than 6300 steps per day. I did not realize how tired I really was until I sat in my chair tonight.

I have just taken a two-week road trip that was planned around seeing the Total Eclipse. I did many fun and inspiring things along the way, met some wonderful people, and ate some delicious food. I can’t wait to tell you about it! For now, though, I must rest in my own bed, recline in my own chair, and reconnect with family, friends, and pets. I came home with a sense of renewal, as the trees were bursting with white, pink, or red flowers or leaves throughout my whole trip. When I pulled into town, I noticed my neighborhood, too, is filled with gorgeous flowering trees, tulips, and even a few lilacs. It was a nice welcome home. Stay tuned for more posts starting tomorrow. 😊
