Local and Midwest Activities Happening This Week!

Free Fishing Without a License in Iowa

Hello my fellow, summer travelers! I just wanted to jump in and give you an update on Omaha-area and Midwest Summer activities this weekend.

First of all, did you know that it is free for everyone to fish on June 7-9 in Iowa?  So dig out that fishing rod and in my case, a cane pole (Yes, that is what I prefer. No one likes a trip to the ER. πŸ™„πŸ˜πŸ₯΄) in your garage or basement and give it a try! Travel to your favorite fishing spot with worms or minnows and see what you can catch! For more information, please check the following link:

Omaha Summer Arts Festival

Also June 7, 8, and 9 is the Omaha Summer Arts Festival! This will be held in Stinson Stinson so plan ahead for navigating the closed road (Center Street is closed at the moment) and for parking. As always, there will be free music performances, lots of great food and more than 135 quality artists. Sadly, this is the last and final year of the Omaha festival. So be sure to squeeze some time in this weekend to go! They are celebrating 50 years and going out in style. For hours and event schedule please check out the link below.
