Omaha’s Durham Museum

The Durham Museum Special Exhibits - Omaha

Exhibits Below Showing Until September 3, 2023

Lego Towers of Tomorrow (Skyscraper) Exhibit

Looking for something to do this week or Labor Day weekend? The Durham Museum in Omaha has some fun exhibits running through September 3. For the kids and grandkids, there is a Lego skyscraper exhibit that will have the kids using their science and math skills while having a blast. There are 20 Lego skyscrapers on display and plenty of opportunities to try building your own. It’s every Lego fan’s dream!

Collectible Lunchbox Exhibit

For kids of all ages, the Durham is featuring a large exhibit on collectible lunchboxes. You might think it odd, but it’s one of the most fun exhibits I’ve seen there. There are several walls of lunchboxes organized by theme. I found myself reliving my own childhood as well as my siblings, and my children after spying lunchboxes such as The Looney Tunes, Batman, Roy Rogers, The Jetsons, The Care Bears, The Osmonds, Pac-Man, Lassie, Transformers, and Flipper among the more than 500 displayed. In addition to spotting your favorite characters and TV shows you can learn about the hobby of collecting lunchboxes, their history, and the Omaha collector whose collection is on view. It’s seriously fun! If you have time this week, don’t miss it!
