Does your family enjoy Lego creations and beautiful flowers? Then you should absolutely go to the Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects exhibit at Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha before May 18! It is fun, informative, and the kid in you will love it. So will your actual kids and grandchildren. 😉

As I sit at home this blustery day and watch the snow swirl around in my backyard, it reminds me there is even an indoor Lego play area for those days when you don’t feel like going outside. (Like today). Plus, as always, there are gorgeous flowers, a soothing koi pond with water features, a cafe with delicious food and drinks, a coffee (and hot chocolate) shop above the conservatory, beautiful artwork to view and purchase, and a fantastic gift shop to browse for unique and beautiful books and gifts.

I have to say that Lauritzen Gardens is one of several local “happy places” for me. I always feel better about a host of things when I leave there. Just recently seeing the amazing lilies woven through the Lego exhibit did my heart good. If your heart, mind, and soul could use a little pick-me-up right now, I’d encourage you and your family to go. To make things more budget-friendly, consider checking if your public library has a free day pass available or purchase a Lauritzen Gardens membership and go for free anytime you want in the next year. You really can’t beat either of those options!

The Lauritzen Gardens website is below. Click on the “Join” option at the top of their website to purchase a membership.

My hope is that the photos in this post and a real-life visit to Lauritzen Gardens will spark your joy and give you peace in the dark, snowy days of winter. It sure does mine! 🫶

Please note that I am only including a select number of photos because I don’t want to spoil the surprise. 😉 Please go and see it for yourself!
